Dear Donna,

My experience at Girls State was truly amazing.  

The election process gave me a deeper understanding of our state government.   The campaigning, the press conference, “whistle stop”, signs and speeches opened my eyes to the world of politics.   Girls State allowed me to grasp a true meaning of our state election process and the effect that goes into running for an office such as Governor.

Aside from the learning experience at Girls State was the social aspect.   During my stay at beautiful Bay Path College, I was given the opportunity to meet many wonderful people.   I made many good friends at Girls State, several of whom I still keep in touch with. Meeting such talented and compassionate young women has given me a positive outlook on our generation.   Having experienced Girls State, I have gained assurance in knowing that there are so many aspiring young adults who seek to better the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

I am truly grateful for my Girls State experience and sincerely thank all of the wonderful people who made it possible.
